I noticed that when someone replies to a posting in a photo gallery I've setup, there is no indication in the "Recent Posts" island. All the other forums show when someone has posted a reply. How do I get the replies in a photo gallery to also show up on the "Recent Posts" island?

If you look at your "Recent Posts"post island settings in the control panel.
Notice that you don't see any gallery forums to include in the island. This is by design.

I see that. The issue is that the replies to photo galleries are usually questions or comments on the posted photos and are just like a regular forum. I think that they should be included in the island display just like any regular forum. Is there a file I can mod to enable this?

Probably some of the beta testers or Rick may make a suggestion on what to hack.
Myself I never even contemplated this change so I am not sure what file to even start in.
Just beware. Any route you go this would be considered a code modification and not supported here if you have problems.

Not a real simple change for this currently. It currently grabs any new topics or replies (excluding gallery forums). If you take out the gallery forum exclusing, you're going to get the initial gallery posts in your recent topics list.

Woule require a bit of a makeover o the cache_builders/post_island.php script.

Ok - thanks! It may not be bad to have the Gallery posting appear too. I'll look at the script and scope it out.
