I saw some different custom titles like ubb_helper. I was wondering what that means?

That is usually given to members here that help answer many questions other members have.

Whatever Ruben does should be the standard.. excellent job! Heck, he even does more than a lotta the ubb Beta Testers do

For the casual visitor, I think having the tags is sort of a "this information can be trusted"-stamp.

For the regular users, we already know that Ruben is a great help here

I have been using the message board system since 98 and I will admit that Ruben is very knowledgeable of most every version of the message system. He has kept up with all the new functions, changes, fixes, and everything else related to the message board.

He deserves recognition for his dedication and tons of help he provides to everyone. Keep up the good work Ruben.

There are actually quite a few here that are deserving of the tag and more than likely you know who you are. I normally always ask if the person wants it before I give it to them. I need to be a bit more active in this. I've given it to a couple people and then they've kinda disappeared. So, I'll probably review this like once per month, add/remove it, something or other.

Might be handy to have their status listed in the User List as is the case with Administrators and Moderators.

But I am a little embarrassed just the same.

I don't pretend to be a expert( See my signature) just that I have learned things through the years with trial and error that newbies are not aware of.

I was a lurker for many years and always felt guilty that I did not contribute. Not because I did not want to, just that my limited knowledge would not help so I was a little shy.

With classic I learned some cgi just because I hacked it to death.
But I have a long way to go to learn PHP and MYsql.
Besides we have the big guns here to help out with those issues.

So I would like to offer my thank you to Rick,CC and all the moderators, Beta testers and others here and at UBBDEV that have helped me over the years when I hosed up my site.

Ruben, I feel that everyone is pretty much an expert in some thing or another. How we get to be an expert on something is pretty much by chance.

You see everyone finds something that interests them to a degree that they spend their spare time and thoughts learning more about that particular thing. After a while that person hears others talking of discussing that particular subject and find errors or problems with in the discussion and then help to correct the error or problem. At some point that person just naturally has a nack for that particular subject or thing and just tries to help others become knowledgeable in that area.

You, Ruben, appear to be on the right path with this message system.

We all learn in our own way at our own speed and excel at something or another.

But the comment on the spam is a thing Driv started between the number of posts between Gizmo and I. So it is kinda a running tease on us.

My customers know how much I hate spam on my system between anyone.

I run 3 different spam filters both automated services and manual input for those that get by them. I would love to see the day 0 spam comes into my service.

But then people like norton and pc-cillen would go broke and then ask Obama for a bailout.

LOL, Was thinking of asking him for some FREE money my self. The government appears to be giving it to people that don't need it as much as others so I should have a really good chance.
