It appears that people replying to picture gallery posts are unable to post images in anyway either by using the file manager or by uploading the image else where and inserting the appropriate code.
So my question is how do I allow users to post images into their replies to picture gallery posts?

The gallery is designed to have a picture or pictures uploaded only. Replies are treated as a normal topic reply. So that users can only reply to the posting. Unless you enable file attachments. What you could do is edit the cp>>forum permissions. Add the settings for the users to allow uploading a attachment. But it will be treated like a normal forum where attachments are allowed for the reply.

Forum Permission settings to consider are: Can reply to existing topics Can Download attachments Maximum size of file attachments Total # of file attachments
And of course Control Panel ยป Display Options-Topic Display Options Max Size for inline uploaded images

I am going to back track on this item. It appears on 7.5.3 even if you allow file attachments in a gallery forum they don't appear. Humm!! Bug report?

It's actually designed to not allow the img tag or file attachments in gallery forums... Personally, I think it should be an option.
