I had a member try to post a recurring event (monthly) in the calendar (using 7.5.3). He entered the event on Friday the 9th of January (the second Friday of the month), then indicated it was recurring monthly. The calendar did as designed and placed the same event on the 9th of every month. The problem is, he wanted it to be the second Friday of every month, which is not necessarily the 9th. Since many events occur this way (on a specific "day" vice "date" of the month, it would be great to have an option in the calendar that if you select monthly recurring it gives you the option of picking "monthly by date" or "monthly by day-of-week" So if you input an event on one month and it is the second Friday, then you select the second option, it will place the event on that DAY of the month, regardless of the date.

You mean like Outlook does.

I think the one feature that has matured in outlook is the re-occur function for the calendar.
It is simple and accommodates any calendar placement options.
The only problem with this feature is it kinda hides from the mainstream use of the software.

Yes, a layout like that would be just about perfect.

Btw. That screen print is for the weekly option. If you select monthly yearly or daily, the options change to select from.
