Twice now, a mod makes a new thread with the percentage sign -(%) on the title; the thread: - cannot be opened. - properties of the thread shows zero. - properties shows no link.
How can I solve this, please.

Could you link to a topic with a % sign? Its possible that your provider has mod_security installed which will not allow specific characters in posts, threads, etc.

I deleted the threads already and have rebuild the posts. Maybe I can do a test. -------- Here: Forum. Check the thread with % on it.

You'll need to contact your host and have them check their security settings for your account, it's triggering errors for special characters (such as %) so it's not really something we can fix.
I'm sure if you check your log files you'll see an error stating that mod_security cannot parse the file
