In Version 8, we'll be combining a couple screens. Pruning and Moving topics will be combined. You'll first select your topic search, and then you'll choose what to do with those topics.

My question for everyone is there any other search criteria you'd like to see on the initial page when it lets you build your topic list?

Hard to say but if you combine the two methods.
Should we not have a way to find who replied to a post.
And find sticky/global topics

I miss the topic option to "Keep this thread", then when pruning it would never delete that topic! I would mark all stickies and announcements and never worry about them being pruned with one quick click while making the post, or even after.

I've gotten burned pruning stickies and global announcements a few times, so I like Sirdude's idea.

One thing is for sure, that on the move threads, the options for the original threads will change. Currently when moving threads, you can leave the original, close it, mark it as moved or delete it.

Leaving and closing the original threads will actually have to go. Since 7.0 has been out, this hasn't ever really worked properly now that I look at it. Polls or file attachments can only be attached to a single post, and if you leave the original topic in tact, the poll or file is either going to belong to the original or the new/moved topic, it can't belong to both.

So bulk moving of topics is going to become just that, moving them from one location to another with no option to leave the original intact.
