There used to be a way to set the length of time before a post was tagged with the dreaded 'last edited by...' ... Where did that one get to?

you can just deselect the checkbox and it won't show it.. :shrug:

No actually the amount of time a post can be edited is shown in the CP under permissions. It is one of the permissions under forum permississions, far right about 2nd one from the bottom.
