I am using FireFox 3.5.2 for Linux. I see a few problems with icons/images not appearing throughout my new 7.5.4.2 UBBT site. For example, on the new post area, none of the icons appear and none of the buttons for text markup appear. I have tested the same site using FF 3.5.7 for Win XP, IE 8 and older versions of Mozilla for Linux. These browsers all work and display the icons correctly. It seems only the FF Linux has this problem. I have JavaScript enabled. http://grapevineforum.comIf anyone is also running FF for Linux, please let me know if you have the same issue. Mike

I do not see any of those images in the Post form (or the icons). Also some of the other images like the PM notice are missing.
I'll try the Firebug ...
I've rechecked the /images directory and all the files look OK in my install. Permissions on the /images dir are 755 and the files are all 755.

755 for files is overkill.. 666 would work for files that need writing like images/markup, graemlins, etc..
dirs that need writing need 777, but you are really having a read problem (or so i guess)

I am not using the linux version but there is a note on java at firefox: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+the+Java+plugin+with+Firefox?bl=n&s=linux&as=qOther software that may block Java Even if Java is installed and enabled in Firefox, it may be blocked by other software or Firefox add-ons, such as the following: Windows: * The ZoneAlarm Pro software firewall can block Java. For more information on enabling Java through this program, see the ZoneAlarm Pro forum. * The NoScript extension for Firefox will block Java. For more information, see the NoScript FAQ

true, but ubb.threads uses javaSCRIPT not java now, i agree that noscript might be blocking javascript stuff.. i'd only assume that he'd whitelist his own site however

Ureka! The problem was the "koniro" theme. Should have checked that 1st. Oh well, problem solved.
Thanks for the assistance!
