Oversized photos in Postings changed the left column. Postings are therefore poorly legible. Is this a bug and how can to eliminate this? - Example Bei übergroßen Fotos verändert sich die linke Spalte. Beiträge sind somit nur schlecht lesbar. Ist das ein Fehler und wie kann man den beseitigen? - Beispiel

There is a setting in the control panel to dictate the maximum width of images when being displayed within posts so this doesn't happen. We just have that turned off here currently.

In my forum I have the maximum width of 800 pixels set. The oversized photos are indeed reduced, but change the size of the left column nonetheless.

I believe we have the width around 400 pixels when it was set when both columns are enabled. It needs to basically be small enough to fit within the post area without stretching it at all.

I have tested it. No matter, what one sets as the maximum size, if the original photo is too large, the layout will be destroyed.

I'm in the process of starting a jQuery plugin for threads that will allow you to use an argument for maximum image size in post, and then display images up to full screen similar to how lightbox etc. work.

Don't quote me. But is there not some browsers that ignore the pixel settings for browser scaling from the control panel? I just seem to remember a similar issue with a old post. Could be dreaming I did not search for it.
Myself I use 400 Pixels and it works fairly well. Once you go beyond the 400 limit it does start to stretch out since everything is pretty much set to 100% in table width so it just fills in where ever it is needed.
