What are the best?

Everyone here has a different opinion.
But mine is google adsense is one of the best.
It does take a little front end work to setup. But it works quite well, Once you go through the hurdles.

Well I didnt get approved because my site isnt ready yet. Aint that a bitch.

Like i said before. They make you jump through hurdles.
You just need to check webmaster tools and fix what is broken.
Then re-submit.
Did you ftp to your site the ownership file to your site?
You need to prove ownership of your site.

Don't they require your site to be six months old, or something like that? They have a pretty good help forum within Google AdSense.

There are a few hurdles to be jumped, but I was approved right away. My site was several years old at the time, though, and I already had a page rank of 3.

Well, when you add a site they want to know that you own the site.
They don't require a trial period.
They provide a couple of methods.
One is that you grab a file they provide. Then upload it to your site. The file is like google***&&&***.html
You only see this option when adding a new site.

BTW, this is nothing to do with ubb settings.
It is just a pain when dealing with google.

I am mistaken... The six month requirement is only for "certain locations."

Google Adsense is one of the best services that does what it does (I've used several).

There are other services you can use in addition, such as Kontera which does keyword targeting.
