Does somebody know what the directory is if I am using Mindraven as my host?

Probably something simple that I am overlooking but I can't find it.

you would set that in your admin control panel

"Profile Settings" and the "Avatars" tab

make sure the path ( disk based location ) is writeable and that the URL ( web based location ) are consistent.

for Mindraven, they use WHM / CPanel, so the path would be something like:

/home/yourlogin/public_html/yourforum/images/avatars

and the url would be:

http://yourforum/images/avatars

Well this is strange, we can only see avatars in the PM's

Check your setting at:
Control Panel » Display Options
[+] Topic Display Options
Show User Avatars?

Hmmm, that was enabled but still only showing in PM's.

Another item to check is;
My Stuff >Edit Preferences
Show user avatars.

That was it, I was logged in as admin and had it turned off, thank you Ruben!
