They can be a pain. What is the best way to find them and then edit them?

I'm using web developer with Chrome but not much luck.

Like MySQL tables? I'd say PHPMyAdmin (web script on your server) or SQLYog (program in Windows)

Actually html tables; umm I'd say dreamweaver or frontpage; but they'll throw extra data in most likely... I do everything in notepad now adays since I got tired of "extra formatting" they demanded I include lol

is it possible to import a site online into dreamweaver?

Yes, create the site in dreamweaver under manage sites. Than when you connect, right click on the public_html of htdocs whatever you have it and click synchronize. That will put everything in that folder local.

When I use to use DW I found it easier to set the site in DW than use filezilla or some other ftp program to download the site into my DW local storage as it was quicker.
