I am not sure if I missed this in my search, I would like to create a custom UBBcode on the site.

One of the sites I run is for a world of warcraft guild. They are looking to use the wowhead.com tooltip
http://www.wowhead.com/tooltips

I have the tool tip working, but for security HTML is disabled for most users, this creates an issue with them being able to link using color codes ect.

I am sure there is a way to create a new UBB code and add it to the post buttons like adding an image, but I am just thinking on my feet here and am having trouble figuring this one out.

If anyone can help me figure out where to make a new UBBcode link/line at that would be great,

Thanks

I am not sure what you are asking for here. There is a way using ubb code to change colors/fonts etc. i.e. [font:Arial Black][/font] you can also embed an image that is on a website by using the [Linked Image from ] same with youtube feeds though there is a button that makes it easy in the reply box.

If uploads are allowed then your users could upload a pic directly there. I know Rick had a pic hosting/sizing site that his son was working on, not sure if that is still up though.

yah, that can be done -- only thing you would have to do is.. showflat.inc.php would need to load that script ( i assume it is only when you are viewing a post )

then you would create a custom ubbcode to allow them to do like

[wt:desc=Feldstalker thingie&gems=23121&ench=2647&pcs=25695,25696,25697]http://www.wowhead.com/item=25697[/wt]

you'd need an expert to do the regex prolly smile

Just for a little more detail.
Goto:
Control Panel » Content Rebuilder
Select the Custom Tag Editor Tab.
That section is what is needed to edit to add a tag.

Awesome Ruben,

Now I just have to code it, test it, and hopefully not break it.

SD, I might hit you up for the full on coding if needed.

Thanks for all the insight folks.
