I know there has to be a feature like this, I can't figure it out.

How do I get notifications sent to my email when someone posts a new message in my forum?

Hi,

Go to My Stuff > Edit Prefs > tick Yes to 'By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?' > scroll to bottom and click Submit.

Then you can add any topic you'd like to your list by clicking on Topic Options (located above an opened topic). You can also choose to 'watch' forums.

They are called watch lists.
They can be by author forum or topic.
You can elect to watch something at mystuff>Watch Lists.
From there you can elect to be notified via email.

Also in mystuff> Edit profile you can elect some other options for notification. And set a default for watched items.
