I have also been flooded with the Chinese spammers, but my big problem is I cannot access my forum or admin panel. I am blocked with a SQL error when I try to log in, if I go to the mysqladmin it tells me the field is 'in use', what can I do? - -------------------------------------- UBB Error We encountered a problem. The reason reported was Script: /hermes/bosweb25b/b309/ipw.timtenold/public_html/inliners/ubbthreads/libs/ubbthreads.inc.php Line#: 2890 SQL Error: Incorrect file format 'ubbt_PORTAL_BOXES' SQL Error #: 130 Query: update ubbt_PORTAL_BOXES set PORTAL_LOCK = '1389372275' where ((1389372275 - PORTAL_LAST_BUILD > PORTAL_CACHE) and (PORTAL_LOCK = '0' or (PORTAL_LOCK > 0 and (1389372275 - PORTAL_LOCK > 120)))) and PORTAL_CACHE <> '0' --------------------------------------- Please click back to return to the previous page. Thanks for asking, I have an open support ticket but haven't had any results yet. I am running 7.2.2 and I am not sure if I can upgrade with this error. I can't get access to the field to do anything, even if I knew what to do.

I haven't found anyone to help with this problem, IPOWER says to go to UBB and UBB says to go to IPOWER, I don't have the knowledge to fix it myself.
Now I have another problem which has shut everyone out from viewing posts: > We encountered a problem. The reason reported was Script: /hermes/bosweb25b/b309/ipw.timtenold/public_html/inliners/ubbthreads/scripts/showflat.inc.php Line#: 425 SQL Error: The table 'ubbt_TOPIC_VIEWS' is full SQL Error #: 1114 Query: insert into ubbt_TOPIC_VIEWS (TOPIC_ID) values ( '9778' )
Please click back to return to the previous page >
Can anyone provide help with this one?
Thanks,

Quoting Rick on this thread: Basically this means that the size of the ubbt_ONLINE table is larger than the max_heap_table_size setting in the mysql config.
There are a couple ways to fix this. If this is your own server, then you can increase the max_heap_table_size setting and restart MySQL, otherwise you'll probably need to decrease the online activity setting in the control panel, so it tracks for a less amount of time.

I am seeing this on my site now. What setting is Rick talking about decreasing? The 'who's online' time or the cookie time or something else? I've decreased both and am getting no where fast.

AA - In your php.ini (for PHP5.2.1+) your memory limit should be set at least to 128M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume memory_limit = 128M Your server really should be running on at least PHP 5.2.1 - for major stability and security enhancements for more information, visit http://php.net/releases/5_2_1.phpin PHP 5.2.0, the default was "16M" prior to PHP 5.2.0, the default was "8M" for more information, visit http://php.net/memory-limit

Thank you I am running current versions of plesk and it has mysql 5.5.36 and php 5.4.25 installed. It looks like the limit is set to 16MB as that's the size of the table. I just emptied it, that didn't seem to break the site so we'll see. I noticed above that Titen was having issues with Chinese spammers, and that's what I've been having. I had to put up a registration queue to stop the spam. Maybe their bots were trying to overwhelm the site, who knows.

I usually have between 400 and 1,800 visitors online at any given time (thanks to having a niche topic, a lot of information, and some hard earned seo) I also have about 580 lines in my spiders/bots list. https://www.ubbdev.com/spider-list/UBBT can handle it, no problem. Just need to make sure you're giving php enough memory to work with.

What I meant was there is only a 10year badge. And as Giz noted we don't have access to turn it on for Mods. So you need to request at least the 10 year badge from Brooks.

I wonder if we can edit ourselves in the CP, then set a 15 year badge, lol. Within https://www.ubbcentral.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/editbasic.htmlthere is an option called, "Custom Title" - its located right beneath "Verify Password." UBBCentral has the option turned off. But if it was turned on for your use group at Control Panel > Site Permissions > Can set a Custom Title (bottom of second column) and (for this example) it was set for 38 characters or more.... You could enter "<a href=http://id242.com/woof/15.png>" to have it display. UBBT does not process Custom Titles as UBBCODE, but it does allow HTML. So your string will need to be in HTML. This is still an unfixed security hole within UBBT (A 10 year old security hole, introduced around 2004) for anyone enabling this on their site with a large amount of character allowed. So take that warning as a small grain of salt before enabling that feature on your site. A setting of 16 Chars could be fine, though.

I don't think it's enabled for any group, hence the wonder of if we can edit ourselves; which we can by playing with the URL .
