When I first upgraded to 7.5.8 a few days ago, the A image was appearing after the Admin username and the M image after the Global Moderator username.

When, however, I did an Update Members on both the Admin and the Global Moderator, the image disappeared, however, the image still appears after my back-up Admin username, which I did not perform and Update Member thingy.

Is this a bug that you can tell me how to fix?

Both of those images are selectable by the member to elect to be visible.
In mystuff>Edit Profile.
And they are by default turned off.
So it probable that updating set them back to default and each member then needs to elect to turn it on again.

No it was not a feature change.
It has always been that way, at least for the v7 series.
At least as far back as I can recall.

It's strange that I never had a problem with it and never even noticed it until after you informed me about it.

How can I change the default to on?

I am not sure there is a easy way.

Well the way it was explained by Rick is.
A member can have multiple images being a admin and a moderator and a user.
But they can only use one or none if they wish.
So there is no way to tell which image to use . Or if they even want to use the image.

but that does not mean it can't be done.

There isn't a built in option to make the images display by default; in my opinion that could be rather annoying for communities that have group images turned on as a user could end up with quite a few images displayed by default...

That's OK as I will alert the Mods about this.
