I had one user not able to access THREADS for almost two hours. Then without notice, he was successful.

Here's the last line in the ACCESS LOG before he was successful. This line was repeated hundreds of times before it stopped. Any idea what the error is?

[03/Mar/2014:21:24:45 -0800] "POST /forum/ubbthreads.php HTTP/1.1" 200 394 "http://vcca.org/forum/" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.30; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)"

I could see his ID in the Active Users listing, but he was always receiving an error message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

Well, I figured out that this particular log listing won't help much. I didn't realize that the "200 394" was code for "execution okay, 394 bytes"... ??

So, how about a different question?
What do people use for prefork mpm settings??

i select prefork, instead of Event or Worker

this is with fcgid as the php handler as well.. ( DSO sucks for so many reasons )

also enable suexec

Okay, good stuff.

/usr/sbin$ /usr/sbin/apachectl -V | grep MPM
Server MPM: Prefork -D APACHE_MPM_DIR="server/mpm/prefork"

I might be in over my head with fcgid and suexec.
I"m still researching them.
