Custom Island Insert are NOT showing in Chrome, Firefox and my android. I am not sure about mac products have not checked yet.

Is there a setting in Chrome and the others or is it within the UBB software settings?

Actually, I can see them in FF and IE but cannot in Chrome and smart phone.

Any help thx Mike!

Here is a link to your original post regarding custom islands -

https://www.ubbcentral.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/256425#Post256425

Also, you might want to check the options for your account. If you are logged in, you may have the left/right columns turned off. If you are logged out, you might have the site defaulted to display them.

I see the right column just fine on all of the current major browser and desktop/mobile OS.

I have not created an account. Just using guest/unregistered.

If you are logged in, the option to change these are within your user profile:

My Stuff > Edit Preferences > Turn off the left column? Yes / No
My Stuff > Edit Preferences > Turn off the right column? Yes / No

We are running 7.5.8

I don't see this available,

[*] If you are logged in, the option to change these are within your user profile:
My Stuff > Edit Preferences > Turn off the left column? Yes / No
OR
My Stuff > Edit Preferences > Turn off the right column? Yes / No

If you've changed the setting from default, log in as an administrator and check the following two items -

Control Panel > Portal Settings > Allow users to turn off the left column?
Columns will always display on the Main Portal Index page.

Control Panel > Portal Settings > Allow users to turn off the right column?
Columns will always display on the Main Portal Index page.

On that same page, there are two other items just above these, which may be of interest to you smile

If they don't appear in your mystuff> edit preferences.
Then you have the option turned off in the ubb control panel.
Control Panel » Portal Settings

Well just a guess.
And it won't hurt anything.
Possibly your config file is corrupted.
Open that page again and elect the submit button without changing anything.

But I think it really is a browser issue.

not sure what no go means.

But anyway
Enable the Main Portal Index page
and the other options should not really have any bearing on what your issue is.

I guess to figure out what is missing.
I need to register and then you tell me what the forum is and content ad that is missing.

Sure we can use Cisco as the example, after the 1st post the Port should show.

I am thinking it is a user setting and I just dont know why I am not seeing it.

Okay .
It appears that it was the:
Must view Ad Island permission.
For some reason you made yourself a member of most all the custom groups. Though not needed as a admin.
Since the permission uses the lowest setting.
Some groups were set to 0.
Not view the ad.

It may not be what you want , but I enabled all groups to see the ad.
If that is not the case you need to edit your groups again as well as what groups you are a member of.

Anyway give it a try.

Can I ask you one more?

I made banners 728x90 and fixed the temple to that size but when the site loads I have a few pixels on the right too many - on the header when the banners load?
This has to be an easy fix but if I get in there and mess with it, well you know!

like is said.
You have 12 admins and some have several groups selected.
they should not really have but possibly users..
I left it as it is and changed the permissions to view ads for all groups.

All that really matters is that I can see it for editing and the members for advertising.

You just need to scale down your banner to what you will accept for size.

I did before and it works fine.

The problem is that the industry standard is 728 and I need to make it happen to load CJ or others at 728.

There has to be a simple way to increase the size of the css file or whatever is casing the overlap.

Ruben, I put the button size back to 100% because it dint make a difference in the show with a 728 banner.

With a 637 size it works fine but not a 728, as soon as a 728 loads I am off about 91 pixels.

I am not sure were or what frame, file, header, footer or css file to change to make the adjustment.

I will check back tomorrow to see if we can come up with something. I am also wondering if the new version is set the same or if it loads 728 ok?
