I have tried a lot of things, including mysql table repair.
The problem is:
When you click to enter a new post, you get a white screen.
However, you can respond to an existing post.
And, the PM function gives you a white screen.
Any ideas? Other than upgrade.... Which is easier said than done...

Have there been any recent server upgrades, such as PHP? UBB.threads6 shouldn't be able to be run on PHP5, it should throw a plethora of errors. If you're running on PHP5, you might ask your host if they have a server still running PHP4 (or consider upgrading as UBB.threads6 has been end of life since October 5th, 2006, with the last version having had come out just prior to that date).

Thanks. Pop was upgraded to accommodate a Joomla install.
I am willing to do a UBB upgrade but need tech assist to accomplish it.
Is upgrade assistance available?

I offer 3rd party upgrade services (as a private developer, I am not personally under employment of UBB Systems, however UBBDev does produce the UBB.threads software as private contractors), more information can be found here. Official services by UBB Systems can be found in here.

Just fyi. If you are upgrading from threads 6 to current. It is not a one step process. Many features, bug fixes and os support have been added over several of the versions. Which some need to be done in steps. So if you are Leary of a simple upgrade. Then getting someone to do it for you would be a wise choice.

Yeah, it'd be recommended to upgrade to the latest v6 release then to v7.2 then the latest build (due to db changes and the importer not really configured for the group id of 7.3+ for users; though db diving can fix said issue, it'd just be easier (and safer) this way)).

I am aware of the steps necessary in the upgrade process which is why I have opted to let it ride.
I am now seeking upgrade assistance and have a query in the folks at UUB Central in accordance with their licensing and upgrade info. To date, they have taken money and failed to act on a simple request. Latest note says they are waiting for their developer to look at it.
The business model being displayed doesn't inspire a lot of confidence....

Okay, fee for access to current versions $59.00 which you need unless you already have it. Then for someone at UBB to upgrade it for you $99.00 Total fee $158.00 If they charged you $158.00, And you are waiting more than a couple of days then I would be complaining also.
