Hi, I'm still using UBBThreads 6.5.5. I know i should be upgraded. Planned for th next couple of months to finally bring it to the latest version after changing ISP.
It seem one of the mysql database files has been damaged or corrupted. I have a back up from two weeks ago. Below is the error message being received:
We cannot proceed. Script: /var/www/nitroexpresscom/public_html/ubbthreads/ubbt.inc.php Line#: 552 SQL Error: Table './nitroexpress_com/w3t_Online' is marked as crashed and should be repaired SQL Error #: 145 Query: REPLACE INTO w3t_Online (O_Username,O_Uid,O_Last,O_What,O_Board,O_Extra,O_Read,O_Type) VALUES ('NitroX','3','1494921504','dosearch','','','','r')
Please use your back button to return to the previous page.
Can just the backed up database file for w3t_Online be replaced in the current mysql database to fix this problem?
Or does the whole mysql database backup from two weeks ago, has to be used to replace the current database? Loosing two weeks of posts?
Thanks.
I am not experienced in using mysql directly. In the past I have only used the tools in the 6.5.5 admin menu.
The ISP support staff may do it for me. Otherwise may need some help in how to do this.
Thank you for any assistance.

We cannot proceed. Script: /var/www/nitroexpresscom/public_html/ubbthreads/ubbt.inc.php Line#: 552 SQL Error: Table './nitroexpress_com/w3t_Online' is marked as crashed and should be repaired SQL Error #: 145 Query: REPLACE INTO w3t_Online (O_Username,O_Uid,O_Last,O_What,O_Board,O_Extra,O_Read,O_Type) VALUES ('NitroX','3','1494921504','dosearch','','','','r') So, load up PHPMyAdmin on the server and select any tables marked as crashed and choose "repair" from the action dropdown (PHPMyAdmin is generally supplied from your webhost, it is not a part of UBB.threads). If you're looking for services (support, upgrades, migrations, etc) please see the link in my signature.

Thanks. Will try the ISP support staff first as I do not believe I have access. If that fails, will speak to you. Thanks again.

Hi Gizmo, sorry to bother you with such a simple question. I am been given the link to the PHPMyAdmin s/w on the ISP. But for the life of me can not find any menu item referring to Repair Table after selecting the "Online" table which needs repairs. Can you point me to where it is? Looked through the documentation as well, as well as every menu item. Does it require a scipt to be entered after using one of the menu items?
I believe it is PHPMyAdmin version 3.0.1.1

What youre looking for inside phpMyAdmin is at the very bottom of the database list. 1) select the tables you want to repair 2) use the drop-down menu at the bottom to select "Repair table" (see attached image posted below) then read the results on the next page. if all goes well, you'll get a positive confirmation message. example:

Will probably be in touch when migrating and upgrading. Unfortunately it has crashed again. Fixing it currently. Definitely need to upgrade to the current version NOW.

Can the v6.5.5 be upgraded directly to the current version? v7.7.5?
Is there still a page with notes on upgrading from v6 to v7.7.5? Link please? I will have a search for one. Thanks.

you did not say if it is classic or ubbthreads wwwthreads. The docs tab up top has most info https://www.ubbcentral.com/docs.phpIf it has a mysql database I would do it in at least two steps start with v7.2 see if all is well check you member count for moderators users . Ver 7 is when they added global mods and sometimes everybody becomes a moderator Then upgrade all the way. Importers are in the member download page. I looked at this a little closer you need to use the importer to get to v7.2 then use the upgrade tool to get to the current v7

It's a PHPMyAdmin screen so it'd be UBBThreads 6.5.5
I still do my v6 upgrades as v7.0.0 -> v7.2 -> Latest; once v8 is out it'd be v7.0.0 -> v7.2 -> v7.5.x -> v8
