Just upgraded from 7.6.2 to 7.7.0. Followed standard process given at https://www.ubbcentral.com/doc_upgrade7.phpAll went well as has always done in the past. Deleted install directory. Then returned to main forum url and saw this: Warning: include(/libs/ver.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/byzcatho/public_html/forums/libs/ubbthreads.inc.php on line 9 Warning: include(): Failed opening '/libs/ver.inc.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/byzcatho/public_html/forums/libs/ubbthreads.inc.php on line 9 Problem occured in connection I tried re-uploading ver.inc.php in case it was corrupted, but that didn't fix it. Not sure what happened. Just opened a support ticket.

Jake, it looks like you are missing (or overwrote) your /includes/config.inc.php file with the stock one.
The error message means that its looking for a file specified at a configured directory listed within that /includes/config.inc.php file.
If you happened to accidentally overwrite your forum's config.inc.php file, you can either; A) rename and use the config-bak.inc.php file that UBB.threads.7.6.2 created within that same /includes directory. or B) restore an earlier version of your config.inc.php from the backup you did just before performing your upgrade.

Well, I didn't back up the files from 7.6.2 (stupid me). There was no config-bak.inc.php file in the /includes directory. I still had the back up from the previous version and uploaded config.inc.php. The forum is working. I also uploaded the other files from the backup (header, footer, intros to each forum, etc.). Looks like it is all back to normal. See: http://www.byzcath.org/forums/ubbthreads.php/forum_summaryWe have been using the UBB Forum software on our site since 1998. 20+ years! Thanks.

Well, the upgrade steps have you exclude several files and folders for an upgrade which contain your unique configuration; the includes folder for example has all of your board rules, config, coppa, header, footer, forum introductions, sharaholic information, privacy policy, etc. If you overwrote them you'll want to restore the folders you should generally exclude from an upgrade.
A new install comes with several files which will overwrite the includes folder if the upgrade instructions aren't followed; these files in the 7.7.0 release are: cache_builders/custom/* includes/boardrules.php includes/closedforums.php includes/community_intro.php includes/config.inc.php includes/coppainsert.php includes/footer.php includes/header.php includes/header-insert.php includes/privacy.php styles/wrappers.php

At this point, I don't know what happened. I know the instructions don't list the includes directory. But those files were not there after the upgrade. Probably something I did inadvertently, but I have no idea what.
Am I ok with using these files from backup in the /includes directory? They are from my backup before I installed 7.6.2.
boardrules.php closedforums.php community_intro.php config-bak.inc.php config.inc.php config.inc.php-old coppainsert.php footer.php header-insert.php header.php index.html intro_1.php intro_10.php intro_11.php intro_12.php intro_13.php intro_14.php intro_15.php intro_16.php intro_17.php intro_18.php intro_19.php intro_2.php intro_22.php intro_23.php intro_25.php intro_26.php intro_27.php intro_28.php intro_29.php intro_3.php intro_30.php intro_31.php intro_4.php intro_5.php intro_6.php intro_7.php intro_8.php intro_9.php privacy.php
Thanks!

The data in the files isn't updated with each version, so they should be fine; you'll notice that any changes you made between when the config was last updated will not appear in the backed up files.
