Scream, did you say your translation is mainly automatic??
How can I translate programs from perl into php???? is there an automatic process?
I understand that it probably needs some MAIOR hand tweaking, but at least if I can translate entire chunks of subroutines at a time instead of trying to convert files
By the way: does anyone know if there is an easy way to share files/shared memory on DIFFERENT servers? like opening a permanent pipe/ftp from one server to the other and then accessing a file or a directory there???

Well, it's not really automatic. Basically I convert the arrays from the $array{'key'} format to $array['key'], print to echo, and a few function calls from the w3t module over to the main.inc.php library. It's just a custom thing I wrote for when I ported the PERL scripts over to save time on some typing.
