Is there a way I can set my browser up differently, so this does not occur?

I'm used to working with several windows open, while managing my board.

I can not seem to keep logged in, while doing so.

For instance, if my co/admin sends me a notice to view a topic, I click on it, in AIM, and it shows me as logged out, so that I cannot work on it with him.

Also happens with "become another user".

I'm sure this is a security feature, and is a good thing, but... I'd like to bypass it, if I could, because there are times when I need to do 8 things at twice. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Never happened on my IE6... Try to lower down the Privacy settings on the Internet Options' Privacy tab.

Yeah, never had that happen.

A couple of things to check -

- Date and Time on your computer - make sure it's correct.
- Privacy/Cookie/Firewall Settings
- Cookies are domain specific - so don't use www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com (without the www) interchangably. You can be logged in at one - and not at the other. Make sure all URLs within your site are consistant.

A cookie is pretty much a cookie, so there's not much on the software side that can be done to help this if the browser isn't handling cookies correctly. This document can help with browser issues:

Hmm... I don't know. Still doing it for most of us on the board.
My site urls are consistent...
Also, another strange thing is happening.
When I get an e mail alert to go to a post, I click on it.
I have my home options set for flat viewing.
When I click on the e mail to go there, it takes me there, but to a Threaded version.
Shows me as logged in, but my settings aren't right.
Then, I delete the post, and says it is deleted.
Click on the e mail again, takes me to the post. I delete it again, and it says "action completed" again.
Yet, when I click on it, the dag nabbit post is still there again!
I have been able to "delete" something four times, and still have it accept another delete.
The only think I can think of that you have mentioned is the ISP cache?
Other than that, it is happening for all 10 of us mods...
So, this one couldn't be a consistent browser setting.
I just don't know. Strange things happening at ifish these days!
