QUESTION: Is there a way to configure Threads so that some of the fields in the Personal Profile must be filled in when a user registers? That was one feature of UBB.Classic I really liked.

I run a Britsih car enthusiast site and I find that most of my users with my old Classic board would take the time to fill in a lot of info (tyoe of car, location, occupation, etc) when they registered. Now, with Threads, the registration form does not include any profile data and you have to rely on the user to take the time to enter My Home and edit/update their info. Many don't do that so you end up with a bunch of users with blank profiles.

Not currently - but check the 6.5 changelog - you'll be able to do it with 6.5.

From the changelog. Does this mean we can add our own fields or just tweak the ones they are giving us? It sounds to me like they have a set number of fields already and all we can do it turn them on/off. I REALLY hope that we can add our own custom fields!!! Can someone please verify this one way or another?

This version won't allow for any more custom fields to be added beyond what is already there, only to change what is required or displayed on signup.
