i want to update from ubb 6.1.1 to ubb 6.4.2... are there any intermediate updates needed in order to make this jump?

They are included in the zipfile containing 6.4.2. Each one is run in the order above, after you have closed your board and uploaded all the required new files.

I'm running mysql version 3.23.33 ... Is that compatible with ubb threads 6.4.2 ???

It should be - but it's waaaay old. There have been a ton of fixes in MySQL - so for best performance and security, I'd be running the latest MySQL version too. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I made the update to 6.4.2 however i notice that the Welcome to our newest member, isn't showing the newest members as they sign on.. someone joined after dhepler and board seems to be stuck on dhepler ... Please advise.. http://www.huntamerica.com/wwwthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=

actually is does seem to be working now.. just lagging behind by one member... as per example, member "abcd" joined but he didn't show up until after member "abcde" joined..

That's got nothing to do with cookies - that's a known threads 6.4.2 bug - if you want to fix it yourself, you'll find the fix posted here:

Thanks, now that that bug is fixed i have another..

when i attempted to change the moderators' name colors i was unable to do it through my control panel .. i was unable to do it through the "edit theme setting" area..

Like any change to the theme file, Any change there will only apply to new users from that point forward. Any existing users, you'll need to edit their profiles and change the name color there. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
