I dont even know where to start. Is there a write up on how to do it.

I read that. It doesnt sayt what to do with the code it generates. Do I just add that to the page that I want it to display on. where do I add it? IN the header ot in the body tags?

It would depends largely on what kind of Island you made, which you've not specified here.

Simple answer is, unless you've made an RSS island, they are just includes. If you made a javascript one just paste it intp your page somewhere. If you made an HTML one paste the string in as an include.

David: at the risk of asking silly questions:
1) I assume this is a new option, i.e., associated with 6.4.1 etc, because I don't remember seeing it before, and I haven't been paying attention since last fall;
2)if I wanted to have a place for the last post in each forum, would it have the whole post, or just links to the post? I've wanted something where the last post would be seen by anyone not logged in, but registered users who were logged in would have the usual main index page and could go into the actual forums...is this - or something like it - possible with these islands?

These are new in 6.5 beta, Tony.

They carry the same permissions as the forums themselves do. In other words, if i do not have permisisons to view a particilar forum I will see none of it's content on that island.
