I have managed to muddle through to this point with the help of this forum and some web searches. I'm stuck at step 6, creating the database table. When I click on the link to create the tables, the following happens:

Creating the tables...

We cannot proceed.

Script: c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ubbthreads\ubbt.inc.php
Line#: 1556
SQL Error: Table 'atcforum.w3t_users' doesn't exist
SQL Error #: 1146
Query: SELECT U_Username,U_Password,U_SessionId, U_StyleSheet, U_Status, U_Privates, U_FrontPage, U_Number, U_Banned,U_LastOn,U_OC_Userid FROM w3t_Users WHERE U_Number = ''

Please use your back button to return to the previous page.

It's like it's trying to use a table in a SELECT statement before the table is created. Looking in the phpMyadmin, the only tables that have been created in the atcforum database are w3t_boards and w3t_posts

hi brian: would you mind filling out a support ticket so that we can have a look at this for you? we'll need to troubleshoot and find what went wrong. give us as much information as possible (including FTP, db info and url to the installation) and we'll have a look.

Turned out to be the DEFAULT='0' issue with autoincrement fields in the CREATE TABLE statements.

Greg, the reason it worked for you was different version... We apparently haven't fixed this issue in the trial yet, though I believe it's fixed in the current version in the Member Area. It also only rears it's ugly head with newer versions of MySQL.

I'll see if we can't get that trial updated too, so as to avoid this in the future.

I'm having the same issue and getting the exact same errors. I downloaded the zip file on Oct 15 (today), is there an upgraded zip file somewhere on the site?

I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE TODAY JANUARY 18, 2006. At least it created two of the tables for me then stopped.
