Downloaded UbbThreads TRIAL January 16 or 17, 2006

Installing on Windows server. Having a problem in creating the database. It will create w3t_Boards and w3t_Posts and stops there. I have re-tried several times after deleting those two boards. I keep getting this same error. I am a REGISTERED (PAYING) user of Classic and am thinking of upgrading if I can get the tial to WORK. Wanna make a sale here???

thanks for calling today - i've sent you the patched version of the file, so you can drop all of the tables that were built in the database, upload the new file to the /install directory, and then run the installation again, and you should be good to go! <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The patch did not make any change. I still get the same error as stated above.

Is there anything I can do at my end to help you resolve this problem?

Yep, let's get you into a support ticket to see if we can find the trouble. Go ahead and give us as much information as possible - FTP info will allow us to troubleshoot directly on your machine, and the URL to the installation.

Kate, I don't have a problem submitting a ticket. I take it you also need my password to access the server for FTP? You will also need username and password for the database? I hate to give that much info out. Also I can't just change those passwords temporarily. What should I do?

Zeus, you should have no problems giving them that info. It sounds like the best and fastest way to get this issue resolved. When I ran .threads I had to do that a couple of times and believe me, it was worth it. They found the issue in a few minutes instead of running around in circles for days.

Since I was just trying the trial version I guess I will hang it up and look around for another program. Thanks
