Portal page. left IE, right FF: See the dark grey shadow arounbd the news picture? As I see do you use a png with alpha channel for the border. This doesnt work in IE

Interesting. This is not a problem in IE 7 Beta. Very odd indeed.

Yes, MS fixed this by supporting png alpha channel in IE7. But 98% use IE6 and FF 1.5.x so this png grafik should be replaced by gif with transparent border or a grafik without transparent border and margin: 0px;padding: 5px;border: none;

You can support alpha layer transparencies in earlier versions of IE with a simple javascript; example: http://www.realmhq.com/includes/pngfix.js

Most likey we will fix this by going to .gif files.

Many people disable javascripting. I use analytics on my boards and there I can see that 25% run without javascript. Gif or a css workaround would be the best solution.
