Hi,

I am *finally* going to be upgrading from 6.1 to the new version and decided that it looks like more than I want to do, so I'm going to order the upgrade installation from you guys.

I have a few questions...

How long does it take?
How long will my board need to be shut down?
What time of the day is it likely to be done?
I have a couple of hacks, they'll be erased, right?
Is there anything I need to know or do in advance?

Thanks! <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Wow, lots of questions <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The upgrade itself (if everything goes perfectly) shouldn't take more than 30 min.

Your board should be shut down during the upgrade, so about 30 min.

Time of day varies since we do them as they come in. If you'd like us to do it at a certain time, let us know and we can try to do it then. However, it must be within regular business hours (8am-5pm PT).

Yes, any hacks you have would be erased.

There isn't really anything you should need to do in advance... Just get ready to enjoy the super cool features you'll be getting once you're upgraded <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

My forum's being upgraded right now, but the question shark thing doesn't seem to be working...should I worry? I don't really have a question, just wanted to see how things are going. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hey! I've actually been to Prince Edward Island and visited the Anne of Green Gables house. Very very cool attraction, regardless of how touristy it might be. Also, I grew up in Idaho so tasting the Famous PEI potatoes (grown in rust-colored, iron-rich soil) was educational to say the least. They taste very different from Idaho russets.

If anyone ever goes to PEI, stop in Great Village, Nova Scotia, along the way. That is home to Elizabeth Bishop--perhaps my favorite poet of the latter half of the 20th century. *sigh* I had to take pictures of myself in front of all the buildings, etc., that she wrote about in many of her most famous poems.

I use one of my pics of the house as the logo for my UBB. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

how much does it cost for a conversion? i'm using UBB v. 6.01f. i have plenty of hacks that i'll have to save i guess and implement later. I'm assuming all members and threads will be maintained right? Also my UBB is integrated w/our own proprietary login/registration structure so... how will that work?

Let's try this.. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm going to try and copy igoo's message into the Sales and General Inquiries section. If I succeed, this topic will then be closed. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

OK, no can do. Sorry.

Infopop upgrades cost USD129 as of now. You also have to have an (valid) annual subscription to the members area which is USD99.
