I know UBB Classic can not be copied with MS Frontpage. But does anyone know if Macro Media Dreamwaver will corrupt any UBB files? I am already aware of how to use FTP. Thanks in advance.

Dreamweaver is much nicer than FrontPage, and will not touch files that you don't expressly tell it to. It's OK to maintain a site using Dreamweaver.

However, you should not upload or download the UBB files using Dreamweaver's built in FTP client, as it doesn't know ASCII/Binary mode.

Depending on what version of dreamweaver. I am using 4.
There is a file called ftpextensionmap.txt.
It has what file types are copied in what mode.
Just add the file extensions needed.
Example
CGI ASCII
All you need to do is go through the UBB documentation and add the file extensions needed and what mode you want.

Thanks Ruben that is good to know. I have version 7 (MX 2004). I guess I need to get a book on it.

Just look in the Macromedia Dreamweaver folder it is installed in and see if there is a similar file.
