Today's frustration - I know (well I think I saw it in the past??) there is a way to limit the length (number of characters) in a member's name, but I've been clicking through EVERY list available in the CP, and I'm unable to locate this..

I don't at all like the 'now' layout of the CP (FWIW) - far from intuitive, and most annoying is that I can't easily find things anymore.. Sheesh!


Help.. (I guess I'm going blind, or losing my mind)

You can't find the controls, as there are no controls - login names are limited to 25 characters, and public names are limited to 35. These limits are hard-coded.

Ahh, thanks Charles. This would explain why I can't find it.. (oops)..

You technically could change the limit by the templates themselves, but this would require editing your board (and would void your warrenty unless you changed it back when you needed support). Your best bet is asking over at UBBDev.
