In the UBB.classic 6.5.0 Control Panel, towards the bottom of General Settings, I see:

Searchable & Sortable Fields:
The selected fields will be available for searching and sorting.

One of our questions is "how did you find out about this discussion board" and I would like to see all the replies, without having to look at what each individual member says. How can I do this? [Asked a while ago, but was away and can't find the old thread.]

There's no way, in version 6.5, to include custom fields as searchable fields via the control panel (though they can be searched via the member directory)... With version 6.6, we did introduce custom profile field searching, so an upgrade to the latest & greatest would likely accomplish what you're looking for!

How would you search "via the member directory"? Is that not part of the control panel? Of do you mean look at each member one at a time? THanks.

Check it out here - if you go to our community directory (the "directory" link in the navigation bar at the top) and search for a keyword, you can then choose whether to search Occupation, Location, Index or *Any* available field.
