When making a content island, just check "xml" in the form

I have one content island created for my board. But, what I dont understand is how to get the feature to work on my actual board. The content island does not appear. How do I make one of these successfully?

Remember, I do not know anything of html much less of cgi. So, I am not sure if I could even understand the intructions. I am not sure where to put the RSS file on my server or what I am to do to get this content island to work for me.

It works automatically. When you set it up the display gave the URL to the RSS island. That's all you need to distribute to your users, there is nothing more you need to do. They type that address into their RSS reader and they can read it. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Login to your CP, and goto Content Islands in the left navigation and follow the Wizard. It will provide you the URL to your island. Keep in mind that you are limited to 15 posts in the Island/RSS feed.

hmm... you can't really - content islands are cached to a certain extent... about all you can do is rebuild the output via the control panel (under Content Islands) but that would require quite a bit of time and energy to rebuild after every post... we'd recommend that you use that feature sparingly.
