it's a VPS with 10GB disk space.
trouble started when the server ran out of disk space, and seems the ubb.threads cache got all confused. now i've got 7GB free.
now, whenever i try to clear cache, i just get the ubiquitous white screen of death.
in fact, for posting new messages, and users online, white screen happens *nearly* all the time.
