It seems to be working for me as far as I can tell. I only had one so far and reported. I am still getting registrants so I can say the mod don't cause any conflicts with registrations.
As for the stopping them on sign up, I cant tell if it's been used. Maybe an alert when a registration is rejected can be added in??
