We are moving servers and have requested a mysqldump from our current server.

A couple of questions. Once the dump file is on our server, do I ftp it in ascii or binary?

And is the import feature in ubb.threads 6.5.5 enough to import it once uploaded to the new server, or will we need to do something more?

We aren't the brightest crayons in the box when it comes to this sort of stuff, so please explain things in plain English. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Thanks.

I should add that we aren't using phpmyadmin because we don't understand it. Like I said - not the brightest crayons.

This really isn't an easy task for people new to php and mysql, you may want to invest in professional assistance - sometimes your new hosts will do it for free or nearly free, tho thye may be unfamiliar with threads.
