Hi there

Is there a way to go into the database and change the "max online" number (to a number I specify). And also the date for that max online number?

Any help appreciated.
Thank you

yes.

it's in the ubbt_CACHE table

CACHE_FIELD 'max_online' has a CACHE_VALUE that you can set to whatever.

also there is a CACHE_FIELD 'max_online_timestamp' that is a unix timestamp for when that occurred.

just do an update query to what you want and *poof* new stuff smile

when it nudges OVER the limit. ie: you can put 1000 in for your forum and that will prolly stay for all eternity, unless you have a VERY popular forum.

wink

Thanks. Sorry can you be a bit more specific as to what I do and where I do it? Thanks!

(And also, if I do change it to 1000 and then one day 1003 people are online then it will be changed to 1003, right?)

Sorry real beginner stuff!

yes, that's right.

It basicly has some code that looks if it is more then ever before, and if so, update it to your new max online value!

phpmyadmin > open table ubbt_CACHE > browse through the table and you'll see the values. You can edit them there.

ok, if you don't have axx to phpmyadmin, here is a simple one.

go to your Control Panel, Database Tools, SQL command (tab) and paste the following in the query textarea:

Code
update ubbt_CACHE
set CACHE_VALUE = xxxx
where CACHE_FIELD = 'max_online'

where:
'ubbt_' is assumed to be your table prefix as you installed the board software.
'xxxx' is a number that you want the maximum online to be set at.

Click 'Execute'

Step 1 done!

Now go Here and punch in a date like 9/20/2007 and generate a timestamp like: 1190246400

save that number wink

paste in this code
Code
update ubbt_CACHE
set CACHE_VALUE = yyyy
where CACHE_FIELD = 'max_online_timestamp'

and replace yyyy with the number you generated for the date/time.

Click execute.. *poof*

Step 2 done!

enjoy,
SD
