I am trying to install the trial version. I pass the first 6 steps and get to the page that says:
All config files have been created. You may now proceed to creating the database tables.

When I click on the link I get a blank page and I don’t know what to do from here.

Not sure without some more specifics like a URL to your board.

The version I am trying to install is the latest one I could download. It’s a Unix install and I am following the document titled “Install Trial or Licensed Version on Unix Server. It’s for version 6.4 and I have shared hosting service with Verio.

I'd check the permissions on all those files..... you can't seem to run any of your files from a browser:

Blank page too.

This could be a permissions thing. Make sure all the script sare readable and executable (try 777 for permissions) including the templates and language directories/files.

Also - although it's showing "passed" for the path settings, what is the path that you used? I'd verify that this is the correct full path from the server's root. Your install seems to choke on any script which tries to include the main.inc.php file.

Excuse me if this is a silly question, but you did enter all the db values right?

I took your advice and rechecked all permissions and the path statement. I played it safe and simply reset them all over. You were right!

Great news. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> The URL you gave me allowed me to try several scripts and see that all of them chocked... that pointed at the "include("main.inc.php");" statment being the culprit.
