A lot of great info, thanks guys. Personally, I like to stay with the latest versions just because. I had no problems with Vista and hate XP. Windows 7 didn't really give me any major grief and Windows 8 is still running great. I very rarely used the old start menu so don't miss it at all. Most of the time I use the desk top ala previous versions and go to the new interface to run some of the apps that I downloaded. The only thing I don't like is the fact I don't see any way to connect to the Internet except from the old style desk top. I don't have my systems set to auto connect due to the fact I use two different connections, so need to be able to choose which one to use based on me security needs.
