If I ask the support crew at Interserver to upgrade from 5.6 to 5.7 what should I tell them to do in order to be safe so my forum database works properly after the upgrade?

I would be very interested and thankful for this info.

Info to Interserver helpdesk:

Please upgrade my MySQL from 5.6 to 5.7

1, tell me when I shall close the forum
2, proceed with a full database backup or a full britbike.com backup database included.
3, proceed with the upgrade
4, inform me when upgrade is success fully finished so I can reopen the forum and test it

I sure would like you to guide me what to say to the interserver support crew.
