If you throttle up the time between posts for newbies. You may upset a couple, But oh well.
Also stop forum spam should help. If enabled.
The only reason I said to ftp to clean up the logs. is because it would take forever in the control panel.for that many files. where ftp access could wipe them really quick.
and you would save over 50 mb's for just the admin logs. when displaying the logs.
