While some developers may be very excited about OpenID support, I'm just guessing that it's less than 1% of the ubb.threads owners. Most just want it to be a good discussion forum.
It sounds like a potentially interesting feature, but it has to be way down the list for upcoming features. No-one who hasn't already posted in this topic has requested it in the last 4 years. I voted for blogs but UI is way way above openid in need.
