You'd think many of the posters here had never experienced a change of ownership for any product before.
Crimony, people - it's a business decision! Rick doesn't owe UBB licensees the rest of his life. Every time I look at how much was paid for my lifetime license and how many years ago that was, I wonder how anyone makes money like that. You do realize the decision could have been to just shut it down, right?
If you think something else will serve you better, go buy it! If you think it will recoup its cost within a reasonable period of time over UBB, then go buy it! That's YOUR business decision to make.
But for God's sake, stop acting like you're owed anything. Nothing to see here - shut up and move on.
