I've seen it take off from Florida in person at a night launch. Listening to the radio the announcer says about a minute into the flight. "It's now crossing over the Cape of Africa". I'm like, no it's not, it's right there above me. The speed and arc of trajectory is amazing.
I've seen it land once here at Edwards as well. Though as many times as it's landed I've only heard it twice.
