Giz, my mother never learned to drive. Now that my dad is dead, she's pretty much housebound. I sure wish I'd insisted years ago that she learn.
When I moved to the U.S., I was terrified about driving on the "other" side of the road, and I had to force myself. Come on, if I can do it, you can too.
